Kyoto True Writer

I use fountain pens for my hand written work. A fountain pen requires less pressure than a ballpoint or pencil, and the flow of the ink is more like calligraphy (which I have always admired but have no talent for personally.)

My current writing instrument is a True Writer Kyoto fountain pen with a medium nib. It's a little heavy and large for my hand, but it writes very smoothly and evenly. I keep it inked with a screw-type converter so I don't have to use disposable cartridges, and I always use black or blue-black ink. The colors of the barrel remind me of twilight walks in the fall.

I sometimes copy poems like this one into my desk journal as inspiration, but mostly I use the pen to make random notes and record whatever I eat for meals each day.
