The big lot of thrifted fabric I won last month arrived, and as I suspected I hit the fabric jackpot: it's all new, clean, recently purchased and has no odor. Aside from one yard of printed knit it's all quilter's cottons.
Five of the pieces are over two and a half yards in length, and are all wide enough to make excellent backings. Several fat quarters and one FQ bundle still had their tags on them.
The majority of the lot are quarter and half yards, and I can see some groupings the original owner might have made (patriotic, holiday, and farm themes.) The farm themed fabric, the florals and the green prints were the reason I bid on the lot.
What really makes me happy is that I got the fabric I wanted for the price I wanted to pay.
I measured all the fabric, and it works out to 45.16 yards. I'm definitely fine with pricing it all at $5.00 a yard for resale, which works out to $225.80. I paid $24.93 for the entire lot.
