For my calendar blanket project next year I chose these twelve thrifted skeins as my beginning palette. I will add to them if/when I need to, but I thought these worked well together as a range (and I didn't want to buy any new yarn for the project, so I chose only from what I've thrifted.)
I thought a lot about my daily emotional state while composing the list of moods for the project. Each is represented by one of the colors I chose. I'm usually happy or content, so I will likely use plenty of tan and brown yarn. I also know I have more moods than these, but I was going for a base list to which I can add other colors as needed.
I will set these aside until January 1st, when I'll start the project. This is going to be a lot of fun.
