August brought some difficult weather, including a week of (even for us) brutal heat, and a hurricane at the end. Still, I didn't let it stop me from creating. It took two weeks this time, but I completed the embroidery on another row of patchwork on the recycled linen quilt.
I turned a thrifted old doll quilt into a knee-support pillow.
I made my first test piece for my cabinet of curiosities quilt, which will serve as a bread/biscuit warmer cover in the future.
In a thrift-o-rama, I thrifted a replacement for my editing table and made a patchwork pad for it out of thrifted fabric.
I used a thrifted diamond painting kit to make this ten-inch sunflower piece, which was less of a hassle than the first one I did, and proved to be good exercise for my stiff fingers. All the yellow in my face was made less painful by the other colors, especially the orange.
Finally I kept up with my calendar scroll stitch project for another month. Off to create for September. :)
