My quilting and art supply budget isn't stretching very far these days, so I've been bargain hunting online lately. I'm planning to crochet some slipper-socks for myself, so I invested in some fingering weight yarn. The one on the right is hand-dyed and new, but the other two are vintage skeins that I bought from a trusted source who sold them for half price.
I'm running low on perle cotton embroidery thread in basic colors, and found this pristine vintage lot at one-third the price what I would have paid for new -- and they're all in new condition.
I've been wanting to try making an art quilt series from vintage hankies, but finding them in great condition with bright colors isn't easy. These four came as a very cheap bundle and are gorgeous.
