I've really enjoyed working on my calendar scroll embroidery project this year, but the one drawback is that I really can't make it into anything practical (I do intend to fold and stitch it into a book form if I can.) That's why I started thrifting yarn last month, so I could do another calendar project that can end up being useful, too.
I've decided to use this simple free pattern from Fox and Pine Stitches.com to crochet a calendar blanket next year. Instead of using temperature (that really doesn't change much here) I'm going to again use my mood to choose the shade for that particular day.
By the end of 2024 I should have a blanket finished that someone in the future who doesn't live here can use to keep warm. I'll do my best to keep it from ending up solid black. :)
