My guy and I were out running errands a few days ago when a huge thunderstorm blew in. We saw one bolt come down right around where we live, and I wondered how close it struck to our house. When we came home our next door neighbor's magnolia tree looked like it had split in half.
Judging by the burn marks it was a direct hit.
The tree probably won't survive, which is sad, but at least no one got hurt.
