Journal Boxes Part Three

For my fabric journal boxes I saved the most expensive one that required the most work for last; the dark brown $4.99 picture frame jewelry box needed a lot of work to be rehabbed.

In addition to being dirty and smelly, I needed to remove glass, a mirror, hardware and the flocked cardboard liner, which had stains and bits of insect debris stuck to it. I will recycle as much of what I removed as I can.

This is messy work, by the way, and time-consuming, but the box is so sturdy I felt it was worth the effort. Stop in tomorrow to see the finished box.
