Continuance

Last night I got a little more done on the spool project, and had a chance to practice my French knots by using them to fill in my two wee sea stars (aka star fish.)

The seed beads and beaded lace are visual/tactile memories of rain in the sunshine, which happened often during my childhood visits to the beach, and seagrape bushes, which are stinky but have very round, smooth berries.

I also had an order of variegated embroidery threads arrive from my favorite dye artist, which always fuels my creativity. Here's a bit of textile art trivia: cloth dyers used to be called dexters (male) or dysters (female).
